Exterior Painting Guide
Power Wash - This is done to remove mildew, dirt, debris and loose paint. It provides a clean surface for the new paint to bond which is essential for a long lasting job.
Carpentry (Optional service at additional charge) - The replacement and repair of any damage discovered before or after pressure washing. This must be completed prior to painting.
Caulking and Priming - A major part of a quality paint job. The priming of bare wood seals the wood and provides a base for new paint. Caulking of cracks, seams and holes provides a measure of protection from water which is essential for the longer life of your home. It also enhances the cosmetic appearance of your home by providing a neater finish for the final paint job.
Painting - Paint selections chosen by the owner are applied to the house. Spraying is our recommended method of application. Paints are pure uncut products as recommended to insure a quality paint job. Comer trim boards, trim boards, windows and doors are hand painted. Brushing of entire house is an available option at an additional charge. Mailbox posts are included where applicable.

Interior Painting Guide
Caulking and Priming - A major part of a quality paint job. Spackling holes, cracks and damaged areas on walls, followed by a light sanding provides a smooth finish for painting. Caulking cracks around doors, windows and baseboards enhances appearance of finished job.
Painting - Paint selections chosen by owner are applied to walls and ceilings by sprayer or roller. Windows, doors and trim work are typically hand painted. Dav-Bar Ltd. will then vacuum behind furniture before returning it to its original position.
